The Nokia 1680 is an entry-level candybar phone, though it offers more than some of Nokia's earlier basic models and features a more stylized frame design. It has a 1.85"-diagonal 65k color screen and a VGA camera with video capture. It is capable of Internet browsing over WAP 2.0, email and instant messaging as well as SMS and MMS. Internal memory is 32MB, and the phone book can store up to 1000 entries. It can also play mp3 ringtones, and is Java 2.0 enabled and can download games or applications from the Nokia software market. The 1680 is dual-band receptive, and targets relatively new cell phone users with a lower price point.
