Specs

  • 10MP sensor
  • Face tracking capability
  • 3x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom
  • 3.0" LCD display
  • 22 capture modes
  • movie recording up to 640x480 resolution
  • built-in flash
  • 16MB built-in memory with an SD card slot

10MP sensor - while this specification looks very impressive on paper, the reality is that megapixel ratings are one of the least important metrics in digital camera quality. This allows for pictures that have a resolution up to 3648x27363 which would allow for poster-sized prints to be made without loss of quality. For reference, typical pictures found on the Internet are around 1MP.

Face tracking - this technology is used to help with autofocus. Using image recognition technologies your subject's faces will be automatically discovered with focus automatically being placed on those locations.

22 capture modes - this includes both picture and movie recording modes. The large number of pre-built configuration settings is intended to allow for relatively easy pointing-and-shooting without overly compromising picture quality.
