The GeForce 9600 GT, is a video card reference specification designed by Nvidia. It includes a 65nm G94/D9M GPU (graphics processor) and 256 MB, 512 MB, or 1 GB of GDDR3 memory connected through a 256-bit interface. With 505 million transistors, it almost doubles the performance of Nvidia's last mainstream midrange card, the 8600GTS. Launched at a suggested price of 200 dollars, the suggested retail price has fallen steeply with mounting competition from the ATI 4850.
