The GeForce GTX 260 is NVIDIA's 10th generation graphics card specification and their current high end model, next to the top-of-the-line offering, the GTX 280. Built on a 65nm process, the GTX 260 is the exact same as the 280, only clocked at a lower speed with specific parts of the chip disabled for stability and differentiation. Containing the largest GPU ever constructed to date the GTX 260 has 1.4 billion transistors on a 575mm^2 die. Introduced at $399 dollars, the GTX 260 has seen a great deal of competition from cheaper and arguably superior offerings from AMD/ATI, such as the Radeon 4870 and more recently 4850x2/4870x2. Today the GPU has a MSRP of $329.
