I bought one of these new in Dec. 2003. At the time of writing (Jan 2009), I'm still using it. Its large and heavy, it has a small LCD screen, it only has a 4MP sensor and the zoom make so little difference that it might not even be there! I guess the question has to be asked - why am I still using it after 5 years?
Picture quality! If there is a picture to be had (not too distant, of course) this camera will get it, with balanced color and with as much detail as a consumer could reasonably expect or need.
Modern digital compact cameras are smaller, lighter, prettier, easier to use and have big megapixels. Do they take a better picture? I don't think so. If you come across one of these (or its bigger brother the C5050) on an auction site or in a pawn shop, buy it! You won't regret it.
