Olympus E-420

The E-420 is the base model of entry-level digital SLR cameras from Olympus. Like its predecessor (Olympus E-410), this pocketable camera comes equipped with a 10 megapixel resolution, a dust reduction system to remove image-ruining particles from the image sensor, and a larger 2.7” LCD screen to quickly and clearly auto-focus photos. The E-420 also comes equipped with face detection technology, allowing for up to 8 people to automatically be in focus for sharp photo imaging. This digital SLR also includes digital image stabilization and shadow adjustment technology in order to capture blur-free and properly exposed images without any need for manual adjustments. While not as capable of producing the same level of pixel detail as seen with Olympus’ higher range digital SLRs, most users creating prints or sharing photos online will find the results more than acceptable.
