The FE series from Olympus focuses on slim design, ease of use, and competitive pricing. The FE-370 is one of the premium models, offering 5x optical zoom and a raft of features designed to help you get the perfect shot every time. This model is unique in its use of an LI-60B battery, which has a higher capacity than the LI-42B used by most of the FE-3xx lineup. Also unique among this group of cameras is the FE-370's Sensor Shift Image Stabilization, which physically moves the CCD sensor to cancel out camera motion and vibration during image capture. Combined with the automatic shutter speed and ISO control of Digital Image Stabilization, this greatly reduces the chance of photos being blurred by camera movement. The 19 shooting modes are easy to use thanks to iAuto, which analyzes a scene and selects the appropriate mode for the subject. Smile Shot fires off a series of photos when your subject smiles, and in-camera editing helps you salvage photos that didn't turn out quite right. Native light sensitivity is a respectable 1600 equivalent ISO, but when shooting at lower resolutions (e.g. 2,048 x 1,536) the camera takes advantage of multiple sensor cells per pixel and doubles the maximum sensitivity to 3200.
