The Olympus Stylus 9000 has a 10x optical zoom that can zoom in to see the smallest details and capture beautiful landscapes. It includes Face Detection Technology that can identify up to three human faces in a photo, focus on them and decide exposure for the best picture. It has an LCD that is 6.9cm/2.7" HyperCrystal III which is described as being easy to see in bright sunlight and awkward angles. The Olympus Stylus 9000 includes Dual Image Stabilisation which reduces blur in the pictures caused by camera shake. It works by adjusting the 12 Megapixels CCDs minutely to compensate for accidental camera motion. It includes video recording with sound, with up to VGA resolution at 30 fps. The Stylus 9000 is compatible with the xD-Picture card and the microSD Card.
