Onkyo HT-S5100

The Onkyo HT-S5100 is a 7.1 home theater system is part of the company's second line of HDMI-compliant theatres, and features significant advances over the first. The system includes the Onkyo HT-R560 receiver; essentially the same as the standalone Onkyo TX-SR506 receiver with 130 Watts / channel of power instead of 80 Watts / channel. The system also includes seven speaker, and a 10" downward firing subwoofer with 290 Watts of power. Sound quality is enhanced by Onkyo's Audyssey 2EQ Room Calibration technology, which automatically configures individual speakers for optimal sound in any room. The receiver features a dedicated iPod dock for home listening, and is Sirius Satellite radio-ready.

I'm going to level with you. If you want a "home theater" and you don't know what you're doing, and don't want to spend too much money, Don't go into Circuit City/Futureshop/Best Buy and talk to a sales rep. Just buy this one instead.

  • HDMI switching
