The Onkyo TX-NR906 is the flagship 7.1 channel a/v receiver in the 2008 Onkyo receiver lineup. It features 145 Watts / channel of power to each of it's channel with a THD of 0.05%. Like the step-down TX-SR876 and TX-SR806, it is THX Ultra2 certified. It features an HQV Reon-VX upscaling video processor that will upscale all analog video sources to 1080p. The NR906 supercedes 2007's Onkyo TX-NR905 as the flagship receiver and the two are almost physically indistinguishable. New to the NR906 is Audyssey's MultEQ XT that will automatically calibrate your system as well as dynamically maintain consistent volume and EQ over different listening sources. It has an MSRP of $2299 and was released in mid-August 2008.
