The Optoma Pico PK101 is a miniature, DLP pico projector as small as a cell-phone and weighing only four ounces. A mammoth amongst similarly-sized competitors, the PK101 boasts an impressive contrast ratio of 1000:1; connects to camcorders, digital cameras, video players, iPods, iTouches, AND iPhones; and is powered by USB. Ideally, the Pico is built for presenting photos and videos to a small group from any equipment hosting a composite video output. Included also is a tiny 0.5W mono speaker offered as a convenience versus a feature, as critics in fact recommend connecting more high-powered external speakers to the unit. Its most highlighted features are its extensive portability (size/weight), the richness of colors offered, and all the included accessories. The miniature projector also features a built in battery for up to 2 hours of use without being plugged in. The two major drawbacks are a low resolution of 480x320 (not good with laptops) and a poor brightness.
