"Great when it works but ........ Practically new GTS250 runs rough. Neither Dealer nor Vespa rep able to correct the problem in one month's time. Holding throttle steady, the scooter reduces speed then accelerates in a lurching motion. Then continually repeats. Most noticeable at speeds under 30 mph. Started occurring after 2nd service. I have read your concerns on your Vespa and I think you are holding the throttle open at 1/4 of a turn. If you do this the speed will only increase and when you reach the 30 mph mark or over you back off right? So it seem it would be creeping forward when in fact you are dong it. I can do the same thing on my Vespa GTS, but that is not my riding style. I recommend you take a riding course at MSF and learn to ride. Good luck.
