September 30, 2008 at 1:28 am

"Great when it works but ........ Practically new GTS250 runs rough. Neither Dealer nor Vespa rep able to correct the problem in one month's time. Holding throttle steady, the scooter reduces speed then accelerates in a lurching motion. Then continually repeats. Most noticeable at speeds under 30 mph. Started occurring after 2nd service. Has less than 3,000 miles. Some discoloring on the spark plug.

Dealer recommends that I drive it for another 2,000 miles and see if it goes away. Rep from Vespa corporate agrees! They both seem inept and unwilling to correct the problem. Any suggestions or ideas?"
