Otterbox Laptop Case

This laptop case is both heavy (almost 7 pounds) and heavy-duty, with a strong hinge and a waterproof seal all the way around. There is a removable rubber stop in the bottom of the case which allows the user to use the laptop without removing it from the case, by running the power cable through the opening.

This product comes with Velcro-mounted bumpers with which you can fit your laptop snugly within the case. Another internal Velcro strap prevents your computer from bouncing around vertically in the event of a fall. It also comes with an external, removable shoulder strap to free up your hands.

Pros:

Enough room for a laptop, power adapter and small accessories
+2agreedisagree

customer service is very good, they seem to care about their products and want to improve them
+1agreedisagree

Cons:
Do you agree?
the shoulder strap is cheaply made
+1agreedisagree

the clasps on the shoulder strap tend to open by themselves in use, making the box fall to the ground.
+1agreedisagree

the rubber stopper can come open when transporting the case in a manner that has it jostling around with other luggage, making the waterproof features moot.
+1agreedisagree

the screws that hold the shoulder strap mounts might not be in tightly. using a 2.5mm allen key, remove them, coat them with a threadlock or crazy glue, and retighten to be safe.

the shoulder strap was pretty crappy for a $160 case. it got its first real use on my trip to Boston earlier this month. by the second day the rubber had torn on both sides of the shoulder pad. by the 5th day the rubber had ripped almost all the way down and one of the clasps, which weren't reliable anyway as pointed out above, pulled completely out at the swivel joint.
