At the push of a button the three-layer silicone top locks into place preventing any liquid from escaping the mug. Another push of the button releases the lock when you want to drink. Insulation is achieved through two separate walls separated by a vacuum layer. With this setup, Oxo claims that the LiquiSeal will keep the contents of the mug cool or warm for up to 7 hours.
Instead of a handle the mug comes with a rubbery grip that does not get affected by the temperature of the contents. For best results Oxo recommends that you preheat the mug with hot or cold water for a few minutes then emptying out the water and placing your drink inside.
