Oxo Strawberry Huller

This is a specialty-made product that is ideal for one type of use - removing tops off of strawberries. The huller works by plunging into the strawberry from the top (where the leaves and hull are), once you've pierced the whole center, you simply pull back and along with the huller comes the hull itself. Although it could be argued that removing the hulls from strawberries is easier with a knife, the Oxo Huller does not waste any fruit as it's solely centered around the hull.

I recently noticed that a lot of the strawberry goes to waste when you slice off the top - this preserves every last bite!
This is one of the coolest kitchen gadgets I own - great for throwing together fruit salads and "presentations" that require the leaves and hull removed.

In fact, I take it with me to work with my strawberries so they remain fresh until I'm ready to eat them
