Panasonic DMP-BDT300
$400.00
Released February, 2010
The Pros:Works well with legacy 3D displays, can output 3D checkerboard format. Has a pair of HDMI outputs, ideal when you have a separate receiver for audio that you want to keep digital. Image through Blu-ray is sharp, fluid and film-like, excellent picture.
The Cons:Some audio drop-outs may occur until you get a firmware update. Audio through HDMI output is noticeably inferior quality to the Coax output.
The Panasonic DMP-BDT300 is a high end Blu-ray player and one of the first that can handle 3D Blu-ray output to compatible 3D displays. This is made possible with Panasonic's UniPhier LSI chip, which can output to two full HD displays at once.
