Panasonic KX-TGA740B

The KX-TGA740B is a higher-end single Panasonic handset that is meant to be used with an existing Panasonic cordless phone system, as it is an extension unit. It features a large, 2.1"-diagonal LCD display with amber backlighting, and large backlit keys as well. It has an icon-based menu interface and is compatible with many of Panasonic's standard cordless phone features, like handset intercom, 4-way conference calling, caller ID, and a talking alarm clock and battery indicator. It also has an independent silent mode. This handset uses rechargeable batteries, and its typical battery life is about 5 hours of talk time, and 11 days of standby time, per charge. Though it does depend on what model of base station is used, this handset is compatible with pretty much all of the optional features that Panasonic offers.
