Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1

First introduced as a prototype at Photokina 2008, the Lumix DMC-GH1 is a Micro Four Thirds camera by Panasonic, and their first with full HD video capabilities. Following the well received DMC-G1, the DMC-GH1 shares the same body and interfaces as the earlier model, and thus owners of the original would feel at home with the DMC-GH1 almost instantly. The device however does vary from the original - with the largest distinction being a completely different 14MP sensor and video functionality. Of course, to accommodate the devices new 1080/60p video mode several small changes have been made - a stereo microphone built-in to the flash mount, a video mode selection on the mode dial, and a red record button. The camera's I/O has also been improved to accomodate the video mode - including a mini-HDMI and mic-in jack. The camera will be available in June for $1500 with an included LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm/F4.0-5.8 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. lens.
