The Panasonic PT-AE2000U is a full high definition home theatre LCD projector , the upgraded model of the PT-AE1000U, and displays at a native resolution of 1920x1080. The PT-AE2000U also features a 1500 lumen brightness and 16000:1 contrast ratio. The PT-AE2000U uses 3 0.74” TFT LCDs, supports 1080/24P and uses Panasonic’s Smooth Screen technology to minimizes the number of black lines between pixels, helping produce a more solid picture. The PT-AE2000U accepts HDMI, D-Sub 15pin, Component, S-video, and Composite inputs. Available October 2007, the Panasonic PT-AE2000U retails at $3000.

- no second bulb or stand
- currently very little information
on the unit as Epson is still changing the specifications and naming schemes
- focus shifts over time (2 hours and image is very soft)--and this with the focus ring *taped in place*.
