The Panasonic SC-HT740 is an all in one 5.1 surround sound home theater system offered by Panasonic. The package consists of a 5 disc DVD/CD player / recevier, a 250 watt subwoofer, two front 60 watt slim-tallboy speakers, two rear surround 45 watt sattellite speakers and a 250 watt center speaker. There are 4 subwoofer level options, which can be controlled via the included remote control. The DVD player/receiver can play nearly all disc formats including DVD, CD, DVD-Audio and writable discs, and has encoders for Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS Dolby surround sound. There are several connectivity including composite, S-video, component and most notably HDMI which is capable of 720p and 1080i up-conversion. This system is 2-way wireless ready and 2nd room audio ready, with option receivers. Other features include depth enhancer, dialogue enhancer, cinema mode and a universal remote control.
