The Panasonic SDR-H18 is one of the more comfortable to hold Panasonic camcorders because it was built with the hard drive just to the right of the body creating a nice little block that nestles in the palm of the hand. It has a good image quality for the sub-megapixel imager that it uses, so while it isn't as fantastic as some of the higher end camcorders, it does the job. The Panasonic SDR-H18 comes with a protective Anti-Shock shield that helps the camera survive drops or impacts, while a gel cushions the drive of the camcorder to hopefully keep the video from being accidentally lost. The camcorder strives to be easy to use, so it is easy to connect to a computer and transfer video with the press of a button and a USB connection cord.
