The Panasonic SDR-H79 is a relatively inexpensive camcorder that delivers more bang for the buck than more expensive Panasonic cameras such as the SDR-H200. It has a larger hard drive than other camcorders; the 60 GB of space can hold over two days work of continuous video recording. It has a great 70x optical zoom which makes it much better at grabbing the far away details. The 2.7 inch LCD viewing screen is a standard size for Panasonic camcorders, as is the Optical Image Stabilization and the SDHC memory card slot. The Panasonic SDR-H79 is mac compatible and connects to a computer using a 2.0 hi-speed USB connection. Another nice feature that the camcorder offers is the stereo zoom mike, a device perfect for capturing harder to hear sound.
