The Panasonic TH-42PZ80Q is a 42" plasma television, part of the 80Q series which are the first plasmas to include Tru2way support. Tru2way, which is built in, is designed to enable full access to digital cable TV services without using a separate cable box. Reviewers find that aside from the Tru2way support, the 80 Q series is identical to the 80 U series which offers the viewer a 20,000:1 native contrast ratio and 1080p resolution. This series of televisions also fall under the Viera series with features like video noise reduction, 3D color management and 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Just released on October 15, 2008, Panasonic's website gives notification that this television is available only in the Chicago and Denver areas.
