"unfortunately, am in montreal, so there are no coach stores here (can you imagine??). so i've been writing to coach, and there only suggestion is returning it to them by UPS. very nice about it, but i bought it at saks, so i wonder if their offer applies? thing is, i really want to keep it. am working up the nerve to cut off that extra piece....i keep hoping someone who has had the same problem responds to this.... thanks for your feedback! "no, unfortunately. it's actually the width of it. you know how some shoulder luggage have an extra band that is supposed to make the bag more comfortable? well, that's what this has. so i thought maybe it was just the shape of my shoulder, by 2 friends tried it on and it slides right off of them, too. am considering just cutting it off because i really want to keep this bag, but am very hesistant about that. i can't believe that this bag would be comfortable on anyone....
