This is my first bike with Disk Brakes. I find the brakes to be something I need to get used to, but I do love the stopping power the discs offer, especially in rain and fog!!!! I love the ride and feel of the bike. The STI shifters and 105 gearing make this a bike that is worth the money weather you use it for daily commuting or trail riding! I use it for both. Makes it hard to choose between my Trek 520 and the Portland when it comes to distance rides!
