"Heya -- I have the 5Bs and the 8D in cherry. The piano black finish is pretty awesome if you like the minimalist look, but I was looking for something warmer. :)"

"This is a fantastic little sub. The adjustable crossover and gain controls are great for matching against other speakers. It perfectly compliments the Aperion Intimus 5B bookshelves -- the combination sounds better than many floor standing speakers costing twice as much. The only down side is the noise floor on the digital amp is perceptible in small rooms if it's cranked up. This can be compensated for by turning down the gain, and sending it a hotter signal from your receiver or pre-amp. The folks at Aperion were great about answering my questions and giving me tips on setting it up. Very happy with the purchase and the experience!"

" Great bookshelf speakers in all regards: sounds great, looks great, and is backed up by great customer support. I think they're well priced. Only downside? They're limited in their bass capabilities, by nature of their small form factor. My room is a small office -- 10' x 12'. I listen to music all day while I work, and I don't get tired of these speakers. "
