The Pentax Optio V10, a mid-range ultra-compact with a decent -- if limited -- feature set, is the first in the V-series. It offers an 8 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom and a large, 3" LCD screen on its rear. Users can select from 16 scene modes, including a portrait mode with face detection, or they can have the camera choose the right scene mode for the occasion by putting it on full automatic. Macro mode allows focus on objects as close as 4".
