At first glance, Phantom Dust looks like an impeccably rendered third-person action game set in a post-apocalyptic world. The levels I saw were beautiful in a morbid way. Each is fully destructible and the damage is generated on the fly, similar to the GeoMod system in Red Faction. The action is fast, with plenty of gunfire and loads of destruction occurring around you. In many respects it looks like a third-person deathmatch, with characters running around, collecting weapons, and trying to kill each other. There's far more to this game than meets the eye though.
