The Philips 8240XL is a mid range model available in Philips Norelco line of cordless electric shavers. The reflex action system along with SmartTouch Contour-following allows the three cutting heads to adjust to the curves of your face automatically keeping them in close contact at all times. Each of the three shaving heads has several technologies incorporated in them to give you a close shave. The Speed-XL shaving head has three shaving tracks that offer 50% more shaving surface than standard rotary shavers. Within the shaving tracks, the precision cutting system has slots to cut longer hairs and holes to cut even the shortest stubble. Finally, the dual blade lift and cut system gently lifts the hair and cuts below the skin surface giving you a smooth and close shave. The cutter head unit opens allowing easy rinsing under a running tap. A full width pop up trimmer can be used for sideburn or moustache grooming. The rechargable battery takes 1 hours to charge, and gives about 17 days of shaving time, and there is battery full/charging indicator on the shaver. Protection cap, cleaning brush, travel pouch and power cord included.
