I bought this unit in mid-April 2009. The remote is slow to respond as other users have reported on Amazon and the Walmart website. But the deal breaker in a bad way is that the HDMI output on this unit broke 6 months later. I connected a different DVD player using the same HDMI cable, and that DVD player worked. So, it was the DVP 3982/37 HDMI which broke.
