As the base unit in the series, the DS1100 is very small and compact, and designed to be used primarily in the bedroom. It utilizes a 360-degree design that looks “gorgeous from any angle” and delivers omni-directional sound; plus it features Neodymium speakers. Its major selling point is its ability to auto-clock synchronize with a docked iPhone or iPod. Additional features include a soft glow night light, the ability to charge a second mobile device via USB, and a dedicated iPhone app for additional functionality.
