Philips GoGear ViBE
$60.00
Released April, 2010
The Pros:Sound is crisp and clear, above-average clarity for this range of MP3 player. File transfers onto the player are very quick. Will charge up with any MiniB USB 2.0 connector, including Motorola cellphone chargers.
The Cons:Included earphones are fairly cheap, sound tinny and don't handle bass well. Converter software for videos is very picky, not compatible with most video types. Won't play unconverted video, all needs to be fed through proprietary software.
The Philips GoGear ViBE is an entry-level MP4 video player that can play audio and video files, as well as display still-image photos. As the second iteration in the ViBE series, the new GoGear ViBE offers a user-friendlier interface in addition to more sophisticated color options.
