Introduced in late August 2008, the Philips NP1100 is a wireless media device used to stream Internet radio or music files from a home network directly into a home stereo with digital input or TV receiver. Featuring a gray-scale screen, the NP1100 can be either connected to a high quality DAC or receiver via its digital S/PDIF connection, to speakers via analog RCA outputs or headphones / computer speakers via a 3.5mm stereo jack. Unlike the more expensive NP2900 however, the NP1100 does not sport its own pair of stereo speakers. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced, but it appears it will be headed to Europe first.
