The BDP-LX80 is one of Pioneer's first blu-ray players and one of the first overall to feature Digital Bitstream for high-resolution audio. Introduced in 2007, the player is compatible with Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, as well as linear PCM audio. The player will also synchronize with other Pioneer televisions and A/V recievers through a single remote. The BDP-LX80 also is capable of playing audio and video from home computer's via LAN cable input. The player can also upconvert DVDs to 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolution.
