Pioneer TS-A642P

The Pioneer TS-A642P is a 6.5" 4-way speaker from Pioneer's car audio A Series.  The speaker features an injection-molded polypropylene cone with long interlaced Aramid fibers inside it and a butyl rubber surround for strength and rigidity.  It has a 1.5" laminated polyester fiber balanced dome midrange with magnetic fluid and a Neodymium magnet for faster and more accurate response and decreased distortion as well as a 1/16" film cone tweeter and 3/8" dome supertweeter.  The TS-A642P can handle up to 50 watts of nominal power, 280 watts of peak power and comes with a speaker grille.  It features a full-depth basket design for rich bass response and includes a second type of Aramid fiber in the cone which adds additional strength.  Compared to Pioneer's TS-A632P the speaker has a larger midrange driver and an additional tweeter, making it more powerful than the TS-A632P.  It also has a heat-resistant polyester-imide resin voice coil wire for better performance which the TS-A632P lacks.
