Pioneer TS-A6962R

The Pioneer TS-A6962R are a pair of 6” x 9” 3-way car-audio speakers built out of dual Aramid fibers and enclosed in a composite IMPP cone design. Slightly larger than its predecessors, the 6" x 8" TS-A6882R and TS-A6872R models, the 6" x 9" TS-A6962R comes equipped with a 2.25” lightweight balanced dome midrange speaker, a .6875” dome tweeter, and a speaker grille. In addition, Pioneer states that they have added long Aramid fiber strands to increase the TS-A6962R’s overall strength, while also maximizing its durability to stand up against high quantities of humidity and temperature. The Pioneer TS-A6962R also uses heat-resistant polyester-imide resin voice coil wires, foamed rubber coated-cloth surrounds (versus the butyl rubber of models past), and a full depth basket for rich bass response.
