Released May, 2010
The Pros:Installation is guided through an on-screen GUI. Enough power output for any home theater system, capable of very loud output. HDMI v1.4 support for 3D displays.
The Cons:Remote is not ergonomic, many small buttons that are difficult to work out in the dark. Distortion in the FM radio input that needs fine-tuning to eliminate. Auto-setup with mic somewhat inaccurate, enthusiasts will want to manually tune.
The VSX-1120-K is a high-end 7.1 channel A/V receiver from Pioneer. This is the flagship product in Pioneer's line of A/V receivers. Like the entire line, the VSX-1120-K is iPhone certified, which means that you can feed music or video from your iPhone to your home theater system.

New to this line of receivers is compatibility with the iControl AVR iPhone app, which turns an iPhone or iPod touch into a touchscreen remote. No matter what source the video is from, the VSX-1120-K will upscale it to 1080p. The VSX-1120-K differs from the rest of the receivers in Pioneer's product line in that it comes THX Select2 Plus certified, which means the sound will be theater quality.
