Possibly the most talked about nature documentary of all time, the BBC's Planet Earth is a spectacular snap shot of our planet as it exists right now. The producers had one main goal in mind as they painstakingly thought about each shot and scene: photograph the Earth as it's never been seen before. The result in an incredible 11 episode story of Earth and its inhabitants. The series is narrated by Sir David Attenborough in the UK/Canada, one of the BBC's best known broadcasters. The US version of the documentary is narrated by Sigourney Weaver. After 5 years, 62 countries, 204 locations and 40 filmmakers this series is like nothing you've ever seen before. The documentary does not focus on environmental issues, but stands to illustrate everything that is great about our planet and make us aware of the importance of its health.
