Swedish Ski equipment manufacturer POC has developed a top of the line set of helmets geared for advanced, expert, and competitive skiiers. Making use of the latest design techniques and innovative materials, POC has built lighter, more protective, and comfortable helmets. The Skull X2 is a "semi-hard" shell built from an EPS core, lined with LD Foam and provides extra comfort with built-in ventilation. The Skull X2 is essentially the same as the Skull with an extra jaw and brow guard.

I snowbard instead of ski, but these seem like pretty sweet helmets if its your thing. It looks like they've put a lot of research into the tech. But for that, you'll have to dish out some $$$.
