The Polk Audio LSi9 is a high definition bookshelf loudspeaker that is a more expensive, smaller, and higher quality version of the Polk Audio LSi7. Like the LSi7, the LSi9 comes with two choices for its real wood sculpted side panels: ebony or cherry. It has a Cascade Tapered Crossover array that guarantees a flat miband response and has an improving influence on imaging, focus, and depth. To continue to improve the sound quality, the Polk Audio LSi9 has cast aluminum driver baskets that resist flexing and ringing, intert 1-1/2" side panels, a rear-firing PowerPort venting system to add precision to the bass response, smooth midrange ensured by the Polk Audio patented Acoustic Resonance Control, a mylar bypass capacitor that flattens high frequency responses, and an open architecture low diffraction grill that increases the spaciousness of the imaging.
