Professor331 commented on Harman Kardon HKTS-15

March 25, 2009 at 5:42 pm

"Interested Buyers:

I have this product, and the performance was decent while it was working. Right now the sub's Input PCI is burnt out, or something of that nature. The sub's light doesn't change from yellow to blue like it's supposed to when the sub is working. There's no output whatsoever. I've had it less than a year. Apparently it's still covered under warranty, but I am on hold with H/K as I'm typing this trying to find out how to actually take advantage of the warranty. The product seems alright, but H/K customer service is really bad in my books. I had to get the customer service number off of a cached page in a google search because the H/K website works fine until you click on the "contact us" link. That tab on my browser is STILL "connecting." I am not happy.

I'd say if you're going to buy an H/K product, buy the extended warranty, because you'll want to be able to just drop it off at the store where you bought it, instead of going through the grinder with H/K product support.

Well, it looks like they neglected to tell me that they were actually closing when they put me on hold. I should have known after the first 'agent' they transferred me to went directly to voicemail. So... put your customers on hold while you're packing up to leave for the day? I do NOT enjoy it when a company does that to me! Not a good practice if you ask me.

Sincerely,
Professor"
