Like its predecessor, the L300 hosts an impressive XGA (1024x768) resolution, integrated speakers, and a poor contrast of only 500:1. Included is an easy lamp-replacement panel.

The Canon LV-7285 is a budget-friendly, 1.2x zoom projector designed for projecting 100” images from short distances between 8.2 to 10.2’. As an upgrade from the LV-7275 and LV-7280, the Canon LV-7285’s lamp is as bright as that of the 7275 (2600 Lumens), yet it lasts as long as that of the 7280 (5000 hours). Otherwise, the Canon LV-7285 holds all the same specifications, including a XGA resolution and a plethora of connectivity options like networking (RJ-45) and DVI (DVI-I). In fact, the DVI-I interface that provides an all-digital connection between the projector and an input source. Since it’s able to avoid signal conversion caused by analog connections, the interface therefore maintains a strong signal integrity. This in turn provides for higher quality images with reduced blurs and flickers.

As a step up from the original SX80 Mark II, the SX80 Mark II D adds along a DICOM Simulation image mode mode setting that allows the user to calibrate the projector to the DICOM14 standard used by medical professionals. This means a user can now output images usually restricted to only DICOM compliant monitors: X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs. Other than that, it is a near duplicate of its predecessor, including its 1.5x zoom, 900:1 contrast ratio, 3000 Lumens brightness, and RJ-45 network connectivity. Also included is an advanced color management system with an easy-to-use GUI for adjusting the 6-axis RGBCMY wheel to fine-tune hues and saturation.

The Canon LV-8215 is an entry-level projector suited particularly for office use. Extremely portable, the LV-8215 boasts a high-efficiency power supply as well as other energy-saving features like a sleep timer, quick startup and a carbon meter. Additionally, the LV-8215's improved lamp lighting system can deliver up to 5000 hours of lamp life while its native WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) is optimized for widescreen laptop displays.

The LV-8215's many energy efficient features help to minimize the its carbon footprint by reducing power intake; its auto shut-off function ensures that the LV-8215 is never on for more than 1 minute with no signal while its sleep timer ensure that it never stays on for longer than a user-defined amount of time with a signal. The LV-8215 also boasts a start up time of only 8 seconds, reducing waiting times as well as saving energy. Meanwhile, its energy-efficient lamp allows the LV-8215 to reduce power consumption and CO2 emissions by operating the lamp at a lower wattage without reducing lamp intensity, resulting in a longer life.

Features

Quick startup time of 8 seconds

The Canon REALiS SX800 is an entry-level projector similar to the Canon REALiS SX60. Like the SX60, the SX800 uses LCOS (Liquid Crystal On Silicon) technology and Canon's proprietary AISYS optical engine to provide it with high quality image projection. However, the SX800 lacks some of the SX60's features and functionality, namely its 1.7x Ultra-Wide Powered Zoom Lens and 26dB operating volume, but brings improved brightness to the table at 3000 Lumens (as opposed to the SX60's 2500 Lumens).

The REALiS SX800's LCOS technology allows it to project high resolution images seamlessly with no flickering, allowing for quicker image response, smoother rendition of fine lines and sharper display of small text. Its AISYS light engine also ensures improved optical performance through the utilization of new optical elements, redesigned polarizing beam splitters, and a reconfigured optical layout, resulting in improved light efficiency and expanded color space. Additionally, the REALiS SX800's brightness level of 3000 Lumens allows for a contrast ratio of 900:1 for improved display quality.

The MBP200 projector can be connected to mobile phones, laptops, or portable media playback devices; and it even includes a MicroSD card slot for support with independent content. The Samsung MBP200 device supports all types of media formats, including Microsoft Office documents (Powerpoint, Word, Excel), PDF files; MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, and WAV for audio; and DivX, Xvid, WMV9 Simple Profile, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 for video (Audio codecs for video include MP3, AAC, and WMA). An integrated 2.2" QVGA LCD screen means users can organize and playback media content on the go without using the projection option; Samsung claims users can even listen to music, create playlists and view video files or office documents internally via the device. A headphone jack allows users to listen through headphones while in public, and an integrated speaker allows users to project the sound to others nearby. The Samsung MBP200 has no listed release date or retail price at this time; it is due out sometime in 2009 however.
