PSB Synchrony One

$2,500.00 Released January, 2010

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Discrete looks. Great design - each tower has 5 well positioned drivers, 3 woofers, 1 midrange and 1 tweeter. Very neutral and well balanced sound.

The Cons:Somewhat boring aesthetic. Manufactured in China - like the vast majority of speakers these days.

The PSB Synchrony One is one of two premium floor-standing tower speakers from the high-grade Synchrony Series. As the superior of the two, the Synchrony One is like the vertical counterpart to the horizontal Synchrony One C, though it hosts an additional woofer.

In total there are three 6-1/2” weave fiberglass cone woofers, a single 4” fiberglass midrange, and a single 1” titanium dome tweeter. They’re all arranged in a five-way transitional array in which the woofers sum their outputs across the lowest octaves but roll off, each at a different frequency throughout the midrange. The result is a smoother frequency response (33-23,000Hz) laced with over 300W of power.
