Psyko Audio Labs Psyko 5.1
Introduced at CES 2009, the Psyko 5.1 is a pair of 5.1 surround sound gaming headphones from a relatively new Calgary based startup called Psyko Audio Labs Inc. Unlike the majority of 5.1 gaming headsets, the Psyko 5.1 features 3 of the 5 speakers in the band that stretches across the users head. Psyko Audio claims that it is this that allows that allows the Psyko 5.1 an edge - projecting sound at the specific point on the ear to make it appear as if the sound was being generated from behind. The Psyko 5.1 also includes a detachable boom microphone for in game communication. They are available immediately directly from the manufacturer's website for $300 plus shipping.
