Pyle Audio PLRL42

The Pyle Audio PLRL42 are a pair of 4.0” 2-way car-audio loudspeakers built from an electroplated red Polypropylene rubber edge cone. Housed in the Red Label series, the PLRL42 competes with the 4.0” 2-way PLG4.2 from the Gear X series, but is priced slightly more affordably due to its Polypropylene cone versus the Gear X’s Poly injected cone. The PLRL42, however, does offer an improved frequency response of 66Hz-20kHz, versus its competitor’s frequency response of 90Hz-20kHz. The PLRL42 also features a 1” Mylar dome tweeter, 1” hi-temp Ferro fluid enhanced voice coil, and a rubber magnet boot cover. The Pyle Audio PLRL42 is priced at $27.99, approximately $6 less than its cousin, the PLG4.2.
