The Pyle Audio PLRL462 are a pair of 4.0” x 6.0” 2-way coaxial car-audio loudspeakers constructed from an electroplated red Polypropylene rubber edge. The second speaker in the Red Label series, the PLRL462 ditches the PLRL42’s circular frame for an oval silhouette. In addition, the PLRL462 offers an improved 180w peak power output (versus 140w) and 90w nominal power output (versus 70w). The PLRL462, however, maintains the PLRL42’s 1” hi-temp Ferro fluid enhanced voice coil, 1” Mylar dome tweeter, and rubber magnet boot. The PLRL462 is priced at $34.40, approximately $6.50 greater than the PLRL42.
