The Pyle Audio PLX4102 are a pair of 4.0” x 10.0” 2-way coaxial car-audio loudspeakers built from a Polypropylene woofer cone. The second model in the Pyle Audio Wave series, the PLX4102 competes with the 4.0” 3-way PLS410 from the Plus series. The PLX4102 maintains many similar traits with the PLS410 such as a 280w peak power output, 140w nominal power output, and 55Hz-22kHz frequency response. Unlike the PLS410, however, the PLX4102 only features a 1” Mylar dome tweeter versus both a tweeter and a midrange. In addition, the PLX4102 does not utilize its peer’s super slim design, thereby leaving it with a 2.5” mounting depth versus the PLX4102’s 1.75” mounting depth. The PLX4102 also includes a 1” hi-temp Ferro fluid enhanced voice coil and a rubber boot magnet cover. The Pyle Audio PLX4102 is priced at $60.00, rendering it $12.50 less expensive than the $72.50 PLS410.
