The Pyle Audio PLX462 are a pair of 4.0”x x 6.0” 2-way coaxial car-audio loudspeakers built from a Polypropylene woofer cone. The fourth model in the Pyle Audio Wave series, the PLX462 competes with the PLG46.2 (Gear X), PLRL462 (Red Label), and the PLS460 (Plus). All four models come equipped with a 1” hi-temp enhanced voice coil, custom grills, and a rubber boot magnet cover. Like the PLRL462, the PLX462 also features a 1” Mylar dome tweeter, but it does not include the PLS460’s film cone midrange. In addition, the PLX462 includes both the PLRL462 and PLX462’s 66Hz-20kHz frequency response, but is trumped by all three models (including the PLG 46.2) in power (160w versus 180w). The PLX462 is priced at $33.50, making it the least expensive of all three models ($37.00, $34.40, and $38.50 respectively).
