The Pyle Audio PLX62 are a pair of 6.5” 2-way coaxial car-audio loudspeakers constructed from a Polypropylene woofer cone. The seventh model in the Pyle Audio Wave series, the PLX62 competes with the PLG6.2 (Gear X), PLRL62 (Red Label), and the PLS60 (Plus) The PLX62 maintains the PLRL62’s 1” Mylar dome tweeter (versus Neodymium) and 66Hz-20kHz frequency response (versus 50/65Hz-22kHz), but offers a reduced 160w peak power output compared to its peers (versus 240/200/280w). All four models feature a 1” hi-temp enhanced voice coil, custom grills, and a rubber boot magnet cover. The Pyle Audio PLX62 is priced at $35.50, $.50 greater than the $35.00 PLRL62, but approximately $15-$20 more affordable than the $50.00 PLS62 and $57.50 PLG6.2.
